OC Farmers Market
The Orange County Farmers Market is back in season twice-per-week from 7 a.m. - 10 a.m., Saturday, and 3 p.m. - 6 p.m., every Wednesday, in the parking lot of Big Lots on MacArthur Drive in Pinehurst. Items available include green beans, sugar snap peas, yellow squash, potatoes, red onions, mustard greens, tender greens, blueberries, blueberry bushes, plants, homemade jams and jellies, local honey, fresh eggs, homemade cookies and granola, fresh bread and more.The public is welcome to attend.
Memorial Day tribute
The public is invited to a Memorial Day tribute at 6 p.m., Sunday, May 26, at Heritage Veteran’s Memorial Plaza, 3810 MLK in Orange, on the grounds of Orange First Church of the Nazarene. The event is free and open to the public.

Mothers Day Out Registration
North Orange Baptist Church MDO/Preschool is now registering for Summer and Fall sessions. The summer session begins June 11. The fall session begins Sept. 3. Classes are from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays. Children ages 9 months through Pre-K are accepted into the program. The monthly meeting of the Orange County Master Gardeners is held the second Thursday of the month at the Salvation Army building on the corner of MLK and Strickland in Orange. Nederland Art Guild
Nederland Art Guild classes are held from 3:30-5:30 p.m. each Tuesday at the Texas Artists Museum, 3501 Cultural Center Drive near the Bob Bowers Civic Center in Port Arthur. 2014 Mardi Gras parade
Krewe de Bon Amis had one of the most intriguing floats in the 2014 Mardi Gras parade this past Saturday as the “House of Voodoo” rolled through the streets of Orange tossing beads to thousands in attendance.
