Vidor City Council will only have one meeting in December and that is at 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 23, at City Hall, 1395 N. Main St. in Vidor. The public is invited to attend.
The Concerned Citizens Committee will host a lunch fundraiser from 10:30 a.m. - 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 23. Lunch will conist of meatloaf, potato salad, green beans, carrot souffle, dessert and a canned drink. Plates are $9. For more information, call Tanya Wilson at 409-779-2929.
BCHS Alumni meeting
The Bridge City High School Alumni Association will hold its monthly meeting at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 23 in the cafeteria of Bridge City High School. The public is invited.
Tomato Grafting class
The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office is also holding a Tomato Grafting class. Come learn how to graft tomatoes to help them be disease resistant. The root stock that will be used is resistant to the 8 common soil borne diseases for tomatoes. All tomato varieties can be grafted including your favorite. We will be using the varieties Super Fantastic, Celebrity and Sweet 100. After plants “heal” you will get to take them home to plant and enjoy. This class will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 23.
