ORANGE — Master Gardeners

The monthly meeting of the Orange County Master Gardeners will be held Thursday, Nov. 14 at the new Orange County Expo Center on FM 1442 in Orangefield, one-half mile south of Interstate 10. At 6 p.m. is a potluck supper and the business meeting and/or program will start at 6:30 p.m. The public is welcome. Visit www.txmg.org/orange for more information.

Fall Festival

The Little Cypress Elementary PTO will hold its Fall Festival from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 16. The event includes games and activities for the kids, along with vendor booths and food. Book launch

Award-winning author Elizabeth Ludwig announces a book launch and awards celebration gala in honor of her “Edge of Freedom” series from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m., Monday, Nov. 18, at the Little Cypress-Mauriceville CISD Administration Board Room, 6586 FM 1130, in Orange.

City Council

Vidor City Council will onl have one meeting in November and that is at 7 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 21, at City Hall, 1395 N. Main St. in Vidor. The public is invited to attend.

OC Democratic Party

The Orange County Democratic Party will hold its monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 21 at the Orange County Commissioners' Courtroom, 123 S. 6th St. in Orange. The party is recruiting volunteers, precinct chairs and precinct captains. Those interested can either attend the meeting or call 409-882-9620 for more information.

Vidor Historical Society

The Vidor Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 2 at in the Fellowship Hall of First Pentecostal Church at Camp and Wilson Streets.

City Council

Pine Forest City Council will meet at 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 2 at City Hall, 305 Nagel St. in Pine Forest. The public is welcome to attend.
