ORANGE — Drive for Your School

Ford Motor Company and David Self Ford invite the public to “Drive 4 UR School” from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28 at David Self Ford, Green Avenue and MacArthur Drive in Orange. Each test drive earns $20 for the designated school. Program benefits West Orange-Stark, LC-M, Bridge City, Orangefield, Community Christian, Vidor and Deweyville. Drivers must be 18 years old, have drivers license and valid insurance.

OC Democratic Party

An event will be held for Orange County Democratic Party Precinct Chairs and Captains from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 28 at The Place, 1519 Burton. All past, present and future precinct chairs and captains and a guest are cordially invited and encouraged to attend this special event. Dress attire is casual. LCHS Multi-Class Reunion

The Little Cypress High School graduating classes of 1953 through 1970 have scheduled a reunion on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013. An LC Alumni reception dinner and dance will he held at VFW Post 2775, 5303 N. 16th St. in Orange from 7:30 p.m. - 11:30 p.m. LC Friends Reception, with snacks, appetizers and drinks provided, will be from 2 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Dinner is at 6 p.m. Cost is $35 per person. Vidor Historical Society

The Vidor Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 7 at in the Fellowship Hall of First Pentecostal Church at Camp and Wilson Streets.

City Council

Pine Forest City Council will meet at 7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 7 at City Hall, 305 Nagel St. in Pine Forest. The public is welcome to attend.

Master Gardeners

The monthly meeting of the Orange County Master Gardeners is held the second Thursday of the month at the Salvation Army building on the corner of MLK and Strickland in Orange. At 6 p.m. is a potluck supper and the business meeting and/or program will start at 6:30 p.m. In July we will have a program on hydroponics. At the end of each meeting door prizes will be drawn.
