Several local football standouts were recently named to the Texas High School Coaches Association Class 4A Academic All-State Team, which was released over the weekend.

Making First Team All-State were West Orange-Stark’s Paul Ivory and Kaleb Ramsey and Orangefield’s Zach Dischler.

Landing on the Second Team All-State Team were Bridge City’s Caleb DuBois and Orangefield’s Jacob Rainey.

Five players made Honorable Mention All-State and that includes WO-S’ Chad Dallas, Davien Teate and Jarron Morris along with Bridge City’s Josh Sanders and Blaze Montagne.

The THSCA Academic All-State Teams recognize high school athletes who excel in the following categories: GPA, class rank and ACT/SAT score. We applaud them for their commitment and dedication to perform with the highest of excellence academically and on the field or court.
