Bobcats topple Legacy in Evadale tourney

EVADALE — The Orangefield Bobcats strolled past the Beaumont Legacy Christian Warriors 37-14 in a low-scoring affair in their first game at the Evadale Tournament Thursday.

The Bobcats led 10-0 after the first quarter and led 20-5 at intermission.

Zach Dischler and Ryan Deutsch led the Bobcat attack with nine points apiece while Alex Catt had five. Deutsch grabbed five rebounds and swiped four steals while Dischler had rebounds.

The Bobcats will return to the tournament Friday and will take on Jasper at 1:50 p.m.
