The members of Trinity Baptist Church of Orange are pleased to introduce to the community their new pastor, Ryan Chandler.
- Ryan Chandler grew up in small Rio Grande Valley and South Texas towns. (Port Isabel, Falfurrias, Poteet, Pearsall, Hondo, Lytle, etc.) His family owned and operated a cattle ranch for several years. His parents were also teachers, so he moved from school to school several times.
He received a Bachelor of Arts in Theology & Philosophy from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor in Belton, TX. It was there that he met the love of his life Amy. They married in June 2011 and had their first child, Beckham, in May of 2013.
Ryan has worked in several Baptist churches (First Baptist Church Moody, First Baptist Church Christine, First Baptist Church Salado) primarily on the youth staffs. His most recent ministry was with The Woodlands First Baptist Church where he served in several positions including Jr. High Pastor, Campus Pastor and Associate Student Pastor.
While working at The Woodlands First Baptist Church, he also commuted to Baylor University’s George W. Truett Theological Seminary where he earned a Masters of Divinity Degree in May of 2017.
Ryan’s wife, Amy was raised in Friendswood, TX (south of Houston) where she spent the majority of her summers at her grandparent’s beach house in Galveston. She is a registered nurse and currently works in the mother/baby unit of Memorial Hermann Hospital. She is a wonderful nurse and has a deep passion for helping new moms.
Ryan and Amy’s son, Beckham is a rambunctious two-year-old who loves soccer, Daniel Tiger, and dogs.
The Chandlers are so excited about Trinity Baptist Church and Orange, TX!
Pastor Chandler will begin his ministry at Trinity Baptist on Sunday, September 10, 2017. Members of the community are invited to attend Bible Study at 9:45 a.m. and the Worship Service at 11:00 a.m. where Ryan will preach for the first time in his new role.
