Progress Made in Restoring Power to Southeast Texans Outage Numbers Drop by nearly 23,000 Since Thunderstorms Moved Through

Beaumont, Texas – At 11 a.m. this morning, some 24, 602 customers remain without power in Entergy Texas, Inc.’s service area. The number shows progress made since the storm’s peak outage which occurred at 7:15 a.m. and included more than 47,000 customers. The outages occurred following severe thunderstorms that began moving through the area early this morning. All available Entergy personnel, plus contract crews and vegetation workers are mobilized for the restoration effort. Additionally, a request has been made for assistance from other utilities.
