PRESS RELEASE

The Texas Rangers are investigating the incident that occurred between Jefferson County jail staff and Lisa Hayes.  The incident took place at the Jefferson County Correctional Facility earlier this year.  The Jefferson County District Attorney’s office requested the investigative assistance from the Texas Rangers.

This incident demands a complete review of all the evidence and the Texas Rangers are committed to conducting a thorough and impartial investigation.  Once the Texas Rangers have completed the investigation, it will be turned over to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s office for review.
