Born in Bryan, Texas, on March 26, 1930, she was the daughter of Horace Murray and Albertine Baird. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid bowler, an excellent cook, enjoyed crochet and embroidery, and looked forward to each and every fishing hole. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Beverly Edwards.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband Jim Brady, who she referred to as “Gem”. He was a devoted and loyal husband and caregiver for 29 years; son, Clay “Sparky” Sparks and wife Becky, of Orange; her step son, Mike Brady; step daughter, Carla Kimberly and husband Clarence, all of Duncan, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Kristen Sparks, Brandon Sparks, Casey Sparks, Natasha Kimberly, Ashley Kimberly, and Ethan Kimberly; brother, Howard Murray and wife Carole; and her nephews, Keith Edwards and wife Robin, and Patrick Edwards.
